Virtual Care
Virtual care allows you to connect with a healthcare provider from the comfort of your home. Through the Sydney Health app, you can schedule doctor visits 24/7 through live video with board-certified physicians.
Virtual visits are a convenient option for common health concerns, including:
- Cold and flu symptoms
- Allergies
- Skin conditions
- Minor illnesses and injuries
- Prescription questions and refills
- Other non-emergency medical needs
Virtual care costs:
- Doctor visits through Sydney Health are typically $85–$175 per visit.
- Licensed psychiatrists and psychologists are also available virtually at an additional cost.
Important:
LiveHealth Online visits are available at no cost, even if you have not yet met your deductible. All other telehealth visits are subject to your plan’s deductible.
Urgent Care
Urgent care may be the right choice when you need medical attention quickly but your condition is not life-threatening. Examples include:
- Minor injuries
- Sprains and strains
- Ear infections
- Fever or flu symptoms
- Minor cuts requiring care
Emergency Care
Emergency services are intended for serious or life-threatening conditions that require immediate attention. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for emergencies such as:
- Chest pain or signs of a heart attack
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe injuries
- Stroke symptoms
- Life-threatening conditions

Preventive care helps you stay healthy by identifying potential health concerns early and providing recommended screenings, exams, and immunizations.

Pharmacy Immunizations
Many vaccines are available conveniently through participating pharmacies. If your physician has provided a prescription for certain vaccines, including flu, pneumonia, or shingles vaccines, you can have them administered at a participating pharmacy at no cost to you.
To receive your vaccine:
- Visit a participating pharmacy, such as CVS, Kroger, Meijer, Target, Walgreens, or Walmart.
- Present your Anthem ID card at the time of service.
Preventive Prescription Drug List
Some medications are available at no cost when they are included on the preventive prescription drug list. Review the list to see if your prescriptions qualify for preventive coverage.
Tobacco Cessation
Quitting tobacco is one of the best steps you can take to improve your health. Whether you're ready to quit or simply exploring your options, support is available to help you succeed.
The American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking® program is an evidence-based, eight-week program designed to help participants quit tobacco for good. The program provides practical strategies, support, and resources to help you manage cravings, develop healthier habits, and maintain a tobacco-free lifestyle.

Through Anthem’s Wellbeing Solutions program, you can earn up to $200 in rewards throughout the year for completing healthy activities and engaging with your health benefits. Enrolled spouses are also eligible.

Breast Pump Coverage
Anthem covers free breast pumps for eligible participants. To order:
- Visit www.edgepark.com and navigate to breast pump supplies.
- Create an account and enter your insurance information. This will show which pumps are covered.
- Select your preferred pump and enter your mailing address. No credit card information is needed.
- Receive your pump and complete the included authorized billing form to have the cost billed directly to Anthem.
