Virtual Care

For many common health concerns, virtual care can be a convenient alternative to an in-person visit.

LiveHealth Online — $0 visits

LiveHealth Online visits are free of charge, even if you haven't met your deductible.

Connect with a provider from wherever you are for many common health concerns, including:

  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Allergies
  • Skin conditions
  • Minor illnesses and injuries
  • Prescription questions and refills
  • Other non-emergency medical needs

Access LiveHealth Online through the Sydney Health app.

Urgent Care

Choose urgent care when you need medical attention soon but your condition is not life-threatening. Examples include:

  • Minor injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Ear infections
  • Fever or flu symptoms
  • Minor cuts requiring care

Emergency Care

Go to the emergency room or call 911 for serious or life-threatening conditions. Examples include:

  • Chest pain or signs of a heart attack
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe injuries
  • Stroke symptoms
  • Life-threatening conditions

    Preventive care & Immunizations

    Preventive care helps you stay healthy by catching potential health concerns early. Your medical plan covers eligible preventive care services at no cost to you when you receive them from an in-network provider.

    Preventive care can include recommended screenings, routine exams, and immunizations based on your age, gender, and health history.

    Not sure whether a service or medication qualifies as preventive? Use these resources to check before you receive care or fill a prescription:

    • Preventive Care Services — See which screenings, exams, and immunizations are covered at no cost when you use an in-network provider.
    • Preventive Prescription Drug List — See which prescription medications may be available at low or no cost when they meet the requirements for preventive coverage. Please note: Under the HDHP plans, eligible preventive medications are available at low or no cost. Under the PPO plan, the applicable copay applies.

    Pharmacy Immunizations

    Many vaccines are available conveniently through participating pharmacies - often at no cost to you when covered as a preventive service.

    Participating pharmacies may include CVS, Kroger, Meijer, Target, Walgreens, or Walmart.

    To receive a vaccine:

    1. Visit a participating pharmacy
    2. Present your Anthem ID card
    3. If a prescription is required, provide the prescription from your physician.

    Covered preventive vaccines may include flu, pneumonia, shingles, and other recommended immunizations.

    Some medications are covered at no cost to you when they meet the requirements for preventive coverage. Check the Preventive Prescription Drug List to see whether your medication qualifies.

    Avoid the Tobacco Surcharge

    Tobacco users are subject to a $75 monthly tobacco surcharge, or $900 per year, on their medical plan premiums. Completing the tobacco cessation program may help you avoid the surcharge while taking an important step toward better health.

    rewards Program

    Through Anthem’s Wellbeing Solutions program, you can earn up to $200 in rewards throughout the year for completing healthy activities and engaging with your health benefits. Enrolled spouses are also eligible.

      Breast Pump Coverage

      Anthem covers free breast pumps for eligible participants.  To order:

      1. Visit www.edgepark.com and navigate to breast pump supplies.
      2. Create an account and enter your insurance information. This will show which pumps are covered.
      3. Select your preferred pump and enter your mailing address. No credit card information is needed.
      4. Receive your pump and complete the included authorized billing form to have the cost billed directly to Anthem.
