Depending on where you work, you may be eligible for state-funded wage replacement benefits while on an approved leave of absence. Several states have enacted programs that provide paid benefits to eligible employees who need time away from work due to their own medical condition, to care for a family member, bond with a new child, or for other qualifying reasons.

State-funded disability and leave benefits may be available in addition to your company-sponsored leave benefits.

Please keep the following in mind:

State benefits generally run concurrently with other applicable leave programs.
State-funded benefits may reduce your company-paid disability benefit.
Your combined benefit payments cannot exceed 100% of your regular wages.
Eligibility requirements and benefit amounts vary by state.
This list may not include all state and local leave programs.
