Scholarship Program Overview
Arcwood Environmental is proud to support the educational goals of employees’ dependent children through our annual Scholarship Program. Each year, eligible dependents may apply for one of up to 10 scholarships valued at $5,000 each, awarded for the upcoming academic year. The application window occurs annually and will be announced in advance each year.
Who Is Eligible
To qualify, applicants must:
Be dependent children, age 25 or under, of an Arcwood Environmental employee.
Dependent children include biological, step-, or legally adopted children who live in the employee’s household or are primarily supported by the employee.Have a parent employed with Arcwood Environmental for at least 6 months, working an average of 30 hours per week, as of the application deadline.
Plan to enroll full‑time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational‑technical school for the upcoming academic year.
Note: Children of employees at the level of Vice President or above are not eligible.
How Recipients Are Selected
Scholarship America reviews all applications using a balanced evaluation that considers:
- Academic performance (30%)
- Personal data, including leadership, activities, work experience, and career/education goals (30%)
- Financial need (40%)
- Consideration of any unique personal or family circumstances
Award Details
- Up to 10 awards of $5,000 each are granted annually.
- Awards are paid in USD directly to the educational institution.
- Scholarships are not renewable, but students may reapply each year they remain eligible.
